Section 9 – Claim Listing and Update Google Local Business Center Information

Go to URL: http://www.google.com/local/add

Click on Add New Business

3. *

Select Country of client from Drop Down List

4. *

Enter Company/Organization in text box

5. *

Enter Street Address in text box

6. *

Enter City/Town in text box

7. *

Select State/Province of client from Drop Down List

8. *

Enter Zip/Postal Code in text box

9. *

Enter Main phone in text box (Example: (650) 555-4000)

10. *

Enter Email address in text box (Example: myname@example.com)

11. *

Enter Website in text box (Example: http://www.example.com)

12. *

Enter Description in large text box (200 characters max.)

13. *

Click on Next

14. *

Click on Claim Listing

15. *

Click on Edit

16. *

Update fields to reflect proper business information

17. *

Upload photos (if any available up to 10 photos)

18. *

Upload videos (if any available up to 10 photos)

19. *

Add any additional information in text box. (ex. Parking: Yes. Brands : Sony and Toshiba.)

20. *

Click submit

21. *

Click on the By Phone radio button

22. *

Click on Finish

23. *

Contact client and give them the pin listed so they can validate the listing

24. *

Click on Call Me Now to have Google call the client to validate the listing

25. *

Click on Back to Business Center to ensure the listing has been verified
