Belleville Police Site Launched
Belleville, Ont. – The Belleville Police Service is pleased to announce the launch of our redesigned website on March 19, 2009 (3pm). The changes have culminated in a fresh, dynamic design for our site, with improved navigation capabilities and a focus on customer service.

The new site can be accessed at www.police.belleville.on.ca It has been given a substantial redesign that makes it compatible with the changing styles of the internet and introduces many new sections to inform the public of the services provided by our organization. It contains user friendly information for the public on topics including; traffic safety, crime prevention, police contacts, and recruiting. Helpful links and downloads are also available.

The Most Wanted and the Unsolved Crimes feature provides information, suspect descriptions and images to assist us in identifying and apprehending wanted persons. Media releases and a calendar of events are now available as are down loadable educational documents. Processes have been streamlined as residents no longer have to attend the police station to pick up forms for processes such as the Criminal Records Checks. These forms can now be printed from the site.

Safety tips for residents, business owners and seniors are also included as well as information on the variety of community-based programs offered by the officers in our Community Services Unit.

The Belleville Police Service believes we all need to get involved and do our part to make our community as safe as possible and with access to ‘current and relevant information’ through the new site they are confident this is a step in the right direction.

The media is invited to join us as we officially launch our new website on Thursday, March 19th, 2:00 p.m. at the Belleville Police Services Board meeting at City Hall.
